A visual system explaining and illustrating measurement terms for the child welfare system in Michigan. Worked with the University of Michigan School of Social Work who provided the data to create this publication. Using a language of symbols, shapes, and colors, I made the child welfare system more accessible to a wider audience, including policy makers, families, and social workers. Through several hypothetical scenarios, I illustrated the heterogeneity of kids in the welfare system, and also created style guidelines so that the client could understand and use my work more easily.
