Microsite/Landing Page Design

Transform the white house, a project of nctE action fund

Transform the Whitehouse, an initiative of the nonprofit National Center for Transgender Equality (NCTE) Action Fund, was a landing page I designed in 2019 and helped launch before the democratic presidential nominee had been named. Interviews were gathered from candidates who agreed to participate (including Sen. Cory Booker, Sen. Bernie Sanders, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, Rep. Julian Castro, and Sen. Amy Klobuchar). Once the field narrowed and the nominees had been selected as Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, the focus shifted to them, and the site featured their interviews prominently about why transgender people and rights were important to them. The website has since been updated to reflect the current state of affairs with Biden now being elected. I was glad to have the opportunity to work on this project, since unfortunately transgender people have not historically been well represented in politics, nor directly addressed by the majority of presidential candidates.

For this project, I was happy to make use of the Broadly gender spectrum stock photo collection.

I am honored that the website I designed was shared by Queer Eye star and activist Jonathan Van Ness on Twitter (above).
